How to Measure Perfect Fit Shutters

Your new Perfect Fit Shutters will fit flawlessly if you follow our straightforward step-by-step measuring instructions. By carefully following each step, you’ll ensure precise measurements for a perfect installation, ensuring your shutters align seamlessly with your windows.

For wider shutters, the factory will automatically split them into multiple panels. Single panels are up to 800mm wide, while two panels are used for widths between 801mm – 1600mm, and three panels for widths up to 2400mm. This ensures a perfect fit, smooth operation, and a stylish, symmetrical look in your space.

Measuring Your Window

Perfect Fit Shutters require width, drop and window depth measurements.

Step 1
Measure The Width

Using a metal tape measure, measure the width of the visible glass in three different spots. Take the smallest measurement as your final width.

Step 2
Measure The Drop

Using a metal tape measure, measure the length of the visible glass in three different spots. Use the smallest measurement as your final drop

Step 3
Measure the Frame Depth

Place a credit card flat against the frame of your window or door, so it overlaps the glass. Measure the gap between the edge of the credit card and the glass. This measurement is your bracket depth.

Step 4
Measure your handle position

To measure from the edge of the glass to the centre of the handle’s pivot point, follow these guidelines: When the handle is positioned at the bottom of the window, take the measurement from the left side of the glass. If the handle is on the left or right side, always measure from the bottom edge of the glass

Step 5
Enter the measurements

Now enter the width and drop measurement and select your Frame depth.

Panel Widths & When Your Shutter is Split

For larger sizes, your shutter will be divided into separate panels that fit seamlessly side by side. Each panel’s louvres will operate independently. We always design your shutter with the fewest panels necessary for the best fit and appearance.

1 Panels
Single Panel (Up to 800mm Wide)

If your shutter width is 800mm or less, it will be made as a single panel. This provides a clean, seamless look with all louvres operating together.

2 Panels
Two Panels (801mm – 1600mm Wide)

For shutters between 801mm and 1600mm wide, the factory will split them into two equal panels. Each panel will operate independently while fitting neatly side by side.

3 Panels
Three Panels (1601mm – 2400mm Wide)

If your shutter width exceeds 1600mm, it will be divided into three equal panels. This ensures structural integrity and smooth operation while maintaining a stylish, symmetrical appearance.
